Sarah named owner/operator of the year at the Australian Women in Wine Awards

Owner Sarah Collingwood has been named the winner of the Owner/Operator category at the Australian Women in Wine Awards, announced today in London.

Sarah, runs Four Winds Vineyard alongside her husband John and parents Suzanne and Graeme Lunney, has been at the helm for seven years. In the past two years, she has led a packaging redesign that earned two international design awards, secured a new distributor, and overseen significant financial growth for the vineyard.

Beyond her business accomplishments, Sarah spearheaded the 4Tonne Project in 2015, raising over $46,000 for Canberra’s refugees and asylum seekers. She also serves as the treasurer for the Canberra District Wine Industry Association.

The Australian Women in Wine Awards, established in 2015 by The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society, aim to celebrate female role models and promote gender diversity in an industry where women make up less than 10% of the workforce, despite near-equal graduation rates in oenology and viticulture.
