Cellar door grand opening!
Today we opened our new cellar door, co-funded by the Australian Government through T-QUAL grants. This space is built from repurposed materials, giving new life to items from the vineyard. The structure features wooden picking bins for cladding, furniture made from wine barrels, a Canberra red-brick wall, wine bottle windows, and even a second-hand shipping container.
Business manager Sarah Collingwood shared her satisfaction in reusing these materials: “Wooden vineyard posts that have failed in the wind are now wheel-stops in the car park. Wooden picking bins, no longer used during harvest, clad the building.”
The official opening today will be followed by a celebration tomorrow with wine, wood-fired pizza, and live reggae music. Everyone is welcome to join the festivities at this family-owned and operated vineyard, which sits amid one of its Riesling blocks.
